Open on our Alderman Moore’s site from 10:30-12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, our allotment shop sells seeds, tools and other gardening supplies, usually cheaper than garden centres or online. Our second hand tools are especially good value. Payment can be made by cash or card.
The HwDAA shop is staffed entirely by volunteers and we would hope that new tenants would volunteer for one shift in their first year. It is a great way to meet other growers and support our association community. If you’d like to volunteer in the shop please contact shop@hwdaa.co.uk or drop in when open. Full training will be given.
Our shop building is also a meeting place, event space and can be used for workshops, talks or courses. If you have an idea you’d like to make use of our shop building for please contact community@hwdaa.co.uk.
Compost
Our allotment shop sometimes stocks bags of compost but you can also purchase green waste compost by the barrowload from your site.
